When you listen to the internal dialogue of your headmates, do you consider that a form of dissociation? I feel like my mind is not focusing on anything else. I don't know if I'm listening because I'm bored, stressed, or if I'm dissociating. I've noticed when I'm in a crucial setting like class, the internal dialogue can get tuned out a bit easier. If it's in therapy, I can almost have zero control of it. They're babbling about their feelings towards the therapist, one constantly asks when we can leave, and I can even hear voices coming from the innerworld which never

Is there any proven technique to induce states of depersonalization and emotional detachment? Sometimes being enmeshed with the world/body is painful and pointless and this is that is the only way of achieving some relief, efficacy and creativity.

Why do I dissociate when I’m talking? My therapist says it is due to anxiety but could it also be that my body has become hypersensitive from 10+ years of psychiatric treatment- meds, withdrawals, breakdowns/hospital stays, trauma, ECT, etc?

I feel like I'm going insane and nothing feels real. I’m depressed and I might have DPDR or brain fog or whatever. I've done research and since October 2019, I've been dissociated from meditation and I think it caused this 24/7 dissociation. What is your advice?

When I’m being yelled at or stressed, I dissociate. It feels kind of voluntary, shutting off the emotions and feelings and stuff. But then why is it so hard to “turn back on”?
