As a psychotherapist, what do you do when you realize that something you are about to say or an answer to a question from your patient might hurt them? Are there scenarios when you find it appropriate to lie?

It is 2 days after my therapy session and I am in so much pain and missing that I don't know how I will make it to my next session. Any coping ideas? I don't want to bother my therapist in between sessions.

How much of your therapy is talking about therapy? At first, I was bothered by this because it seemed like we weren’t doing “real work.” Now I realize these conversations matter for attachment, trust, and being able to move forward confidently, so they’re necessary sometimes. How about you?

Do therapists stay in therapy with there client even when they know they can't help them but the client is attached and keeps coming back?

I progressed a lot since I started therapy but i am miserable in this relationship. Idk if this is because she can't handle me or this is how it suppose to be or is there something wrong with me and idk if this is doing more bad or good. I have fearful-avoidant attachment style. She is my first T so i cannot compare her to anyone and we are working together for almost 2years.

My girlfriend just told me her therapist has instructed her to end all her relationships due to her "psychological instability". I tend to need friends and family more when I am less than stable. Am I wrong to believe this is bad advice?
