Why do some therapists tell you that you just “have to do it”? If it were that easy to just get up and do it I don’t think I’d need to pay $200 for a 30 minute session to figure that out. Agoraphobia, the feeling of not being able to force yourself.

Is it ethical if a psychologist friend tells you to change your therapist without being asked? I was told my therapist is not trained well in trauma. My therapist asked me to let her know if my friend made any suggestions. They know each other.
