As a therapist do you not actually need your clients more than you clients need you, because without them you couldn't play the role of the generous and empathetic provider of urgently needed mental health services?

Why do some therapists tell you that you just “have to do it”? If it were that easy to just get up and do it I don’t think I’d need to pay $200 for a 30 minute session to figure that out. Agoraphobia, the feeling of not being able to force yourself.
