Do you ever feel like “too much” for your therapist? I was told that the relationship IS the therapy. And I just don’t know if most therapists think that way. As an utlra independent person (AKA - trauma response), learning dependence is important. The ones I've seen (in searching for a new t), "see ya next week" with no thoughts of the in between time is common. I get and respect boundaries. It's not that. Just the "too much", bc admittedly, my life is like a circus sometimes.

As a therapist, when you are "at your best", what do these sessions look and feel like both for you and your client? What helps you either stay in this "zone" or helps you get back to it when you feel you have strayed?
