Should my partner throw their hands up and walk away when I begin to dissociate during an argument (the fight was tame - no yelling or anything)? I feel numb and like she doesn't want to deal with me.

Might I have DID? I have all the symptoms except amnesia. The only trauma I experienced (as far as they have told) was at school. I don’t remember why but my old teachers told me that I would go as far as hitting my head to the walls to go back home…

I experience heavy dissociation from my BPD, and by seeing how dissociation feels, I think I lived a co-fronting. Because that didn't feel the same. Around 10 y/o, when I didn't feel like myself at all and that was traumatizing. I had some conversations, with myself turning insane during those times or an alter, I have no clue. Some of the only times in my childhood(>6) that I remember, I would wake up after a fight, or during it and be in the moment and not remember the after. And I feel that the other parts of my memory belongs to someone else. I have to make huge efforts to remember others aspects of my life, and I feel that I had a conversation last year with a possible alter, who seems to be pretty dormant and, I don't know, I'm lost. I don't experience dissociative amnesia, BPD both

How does one with OSDD find not only a qualified therapist, but one that can notice the parts and shifts, when they are subtle and even oneself needs help catching up? Would you know of any resources for locating a dissociative disorder therapist?

Is it a good or bad idea to start accepting dissociation as part of your identity or is it better to keep fighting it? Every day I wake up in a different reality with different identities. Accepting it seems to bring me peace.
