Do psychotherapists sometimes deliberately cause a minor rupture - do something that might cause a patient to get angry or feel hurt in order to have the conversation and demonstrate that their feelings are valid?

How can I deal with transference towards a CBT therapist? I read to her a letter I wrote about it, but she seemed not to know how to manage it. She only said it's normal. Now we just ignore what happened and keep working on the other issues.
