Since nobody can possibly know who our real creator or creators are (if we were created), then isn't agnosticism the only reasonable, rational, logical way to go rather than religion or atheism?

Not all things can be provable using logic, yet many are provable. These things are accepted on the faith of mathematicians because they seem to work. Why then do so many find belief in God to be such a bad idea? Isn't this a double standard?
