Last night in bed, I was alone in my room & I felt my nose get kissed or touched (I can’t remember which one it is now), & I clearly heard “I love you” in my boyfriend’s voice. What does it mean to hear & feel someone who isn’t there?

Do people with schizophrenia only hear voices, or do they also see things that aren't there (hallucinations)? If they do see things that aren't there, how does that happen?

I hear voices outside my head threatening to kill me and telling me to harm myself. Does anyone else have a similar experience and if so, what is it like, for you? How could such threats and orders be helpful to me? What could motivate these voices to say such awful things?
