Is me gaining weight abusive to my fiance? He likened it to if he were to physically abuse me or become a drug addict. Is this an equal comparison? He said that is what his therapist told him.

What do I do? My mum hits me (hard, leaves big bruises, or scratch/blood marks from her nails digging into my chest of arms usually) around about every month along with my stepdad verbally abusing me.Am I being abused or should I stay away from them?
