How is being on autopilot (well aware of what’s going on but not emotionally attached as related to CPTSD) different than disassociation by BPD and DID? I believe I have been saying disassociation without realizing what the term actually meant.

As a poly-fragmented person, do you negotiate/chat with alters as clusters (e.g., protectors, internal self-helpers, persecutors, etc.) or do you try to identify them individually and address each one separately? What happened when you used these different strategies? What worked best for you?
