While individuals with ASPD may not experience emotions like empathy or guilt in the same way that most people do, they can still experience envy to some extent. Envy is a feeling of jealousy or resentment towards others who possess something they desire but lack themselves. Sociopaths may envy others for their possessions, social status, or relationships, but the way they process and manifest this envy can differ from individuals without ASPD.
Sociopaths may view others as tools to be used or obstacles to be overcome, rather than feeling genuine empathy or connection. As a result, their envy might be expressed through manipulation, deception, or even aggression as they attempt to achieve their goals and desires without concern for the well-being of others.
It's important to note that not all sociopaths will exhibit the same behaviors or motivations, as individuals with ASPD can have unique personality traits and life experiences. Additionally, other factors, such as co-existing mental health conditions or environmental influences, can further shape how their behaviors manifest.
