The Bible does not condone having children outside of marriage. In the Christian faith, marriage is considered a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and it is the God-ordained institution for the procreation and raising of children. Sexual relations and the bearing of children are intended to take place within the bounds of marriage.

Several passages in the Bible address the importance of marriage and sexual ethics:

  1. Genesis 2:24: "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." This verse highlights the establishment of marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

  2. 1 Corinthians 7:2: "But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband." This verse emphasizes that sexual relations are meant to be within the confines of marriage.

  3. Hebrews 13:4: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." This verse underscores the sanctity of marriage and the seriousness of sexual immorality.

  4. Galatians 5:19-21: "Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." This passage lists sexual immorality as one of the "works of the flesh" and warns against engaging in such behaviors.

While the Bible does not support having children outside of marriage, it also teaches forgiveness and redemption for those who have made mistakes. Christians are encouraged to seek repentance and turn towards God's grace and forgiveness if they have not followed the biblical teachings on marriage and family. The emphasis on marriage and sexual purity in the Bible is rooted in the belief that these principles promote the well-being of individuals, families, and society as a whole.
