It's important to recognize that generalizations about entire generations can be oversimplified and may not capture the full diversity and complexity of individuals within each group. While some members of Gen X may take pride in their independence and resilience due to their experiences as latchkey kids (children who were often left unsupervised at home while their parents worked) and other challenging circumstances, it is not accurate to say that all Gen Xers feel this way or that they intentionally raised millennials to be anxious or needy.

The attitudes and behaviors of individuals within a generation can vary widely based on various factors, including cultural, social, economic, and individual differences. Additionally, the way parents raise their children is influenced by various factors, such as their own upbringing, societal trends, economic conditions, and evolving parenting philosophies.

It's essential to remember that millennials and younger generations have also faced unique challenges and experiences that have shaped their attitudes and behaviors. For example, millennials grew up during the rapid expansion of the internet and digital technology, which has significantly impacted their upbringing and way of life. Economic factors, such as the Great Recession of the late 2000s, have also influenced millennials' financial outlook and perspectives on job security.

Anxiety and feelings of neediness in some millennials may not necessarily be solely attributed to how Gen X parents raised them. Many factors contribute to an individual's mental health and well-being, including genetics, environment, life experiences, and societal pressures.

It is essential to avoid making broad generalizations about entire generations, as this can perpetuate stereotypes and division. Instead, it's more productive to focus on understanding and empathizing with individuals' unique experiences, acknowledging the challenges they face, and working together to create a supportive and understanding society for everyone.
