there is no evidence or scientific consensus about any civilizations that existed on Earth before humans. The concept of civilization typically refers to complex societies characterized by urban development, social stratification, centralized authority, monumental architecture, and other defining features. Such societies are a product of human cultural and technological evolution.

Before the emergence of modern humans (Homo sapiens), there were various hominin species, such as Homo neanderthalensis (Neanderthals) and Homo erectus, among others. These hominins exhibited varying degrees of social organization, tool use, and cultural expression. However, they did not meet the criteria to be classified as civilizations.

The earliest known civilizations developed relatively recently in human history, around 5,000 to 6,000 years ago. Examples include ancient Sumer in Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, the Indus Valley Civilization, and ancient China. These civilizations arose independently in different regions of the world and left behind significant archaeological and historical records.

While there were no civilizations before humans, there were various non-human animal species that displayed varying degrees of social complexity and tool use. For example, some species of great apes, such as chimpanzees, bonobos, and orangutans, exhibit advanced social behaviors and use tools to some extent. However, these behaviors are not comparable to the complexities of human civilizations.

As archaeological and paleontological research continues, our understanding of ancient human and hominin societies may evolve. However, at present, there is no credible evidence to suggest that any civilization existed on Earth before humans.
