INTPs (Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Perceiving) and INTJs (Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Judging) are both personality types that rely on logical thinking and analysis. However, they approach the world and interact with others in slightly different ways due to their contrasting Perceiving (P) and Judging (J) traits. As a result, their expectations of logic and common sense from others may vary to some extent.

INTPs (Ti-dominant) primarily use Introverted Thinking (Ti) to make sense of the world. They have a strong internal logical framework and are constantly seeking to understand and analyze information objectively. INTPs may be highly critical of arguments that don't follow logical principles or lack coherence. They have a tendency to prioritize intellectual rigor and may become frustrated when others present ideas that they perceive as illogical or poorly reasoned.

INTJs (Ni-dominant), on the other hand, utilize Introverted Intuition (Ni) as their dominant function. They are future-oriented and focus on patterns and possibilities. INTJs are skilled at envisioning the big picture and strategic planning. While they value logical thinking, their primary concern might be less with the logical consistency of every detail and more with how ideas fit into their overarching vision or goals.

Both INTPs and INTJs have a preference for logical reasoning and may expect others to apply sound reasoning in their discussions and decision-making. However, due to their different cognitive priorities, INTPs may place a stronger emphasis on the internal consistency of arguments and logical rigor, whereas INTJs may prioritize how ideas align with their broader objectives and long-term vision.

It's important to remember that personality types provide general tendencies, and individual differences can be significant. While INTPs and INTJs may have certain expectations of logic and common sense from others, these expectations can be influenced by a person's maturity, life experiences, and personal growth. Additionally, every individual has their unique strengths and weaknesses, and effective communication often involves understanding and accommodating different thinking styles and perspectives.
